The LTA are encouraging people to join 'British Tennis'. At the moment this is free and it is in the clubs interests for our members to join. Without it we get no Wimbledon ticket allocation. Application forms are available in the clubhouse or it is very simple to do on-line.

We planned to hold all our finals on Sunday 29th August, however, as ever the weather had other ideas. We arrived in a heavy shower and spent some time 'sponging' the courts before deciding to send the first round of matches off to Newtonmore while our courts dried. The players returned after their matches having decided that Newtonmore was too slippy for any further play. Our own courts were just about playable & then it rained again... so there was another round of 'sponging'. The weather gradually improved and the matches began to get back on track. It was clear though that there would not be time to play all the finals on the day so it was decided to complete the Mixed Doubles and hold over the singles finals for 2 weeks when all the participants would again be available.
There were some very competitive matches in the Round Robin sections which were eventually won by Helen & Sandy and Marj & Ken. They then played in the final with Helen & Sandy winning 6-3, 6-1. There were some very close games particularly in the first set.
The Girls U14 final was also played with Rona beating Eilidh, which evened things up as Eilidh won last year!
The Boys U14 & U12 finals had been played earlier in the week, in both cases Daniel beat Freddie in the final. The U14 final was particularly close with almost every game going to Deuce.
The Girls U12 was won by Leah.

These will be held on Sunday Sepember 12 th from 1pm.
